Shattak is a learning platform where every course is free to enroll in, built around a real outcome, and paid for only after you finish. You decide the amount. It can be ₹0.

That is the whole model. The rest of this page explains why we built it that way.

Why we exist

We believe the world gets better one educated person at a time.

That is not idealism. People are the building blocks of society. The more genuinely educated everyone is, the better the decisions they make, the better the communities they build, and the better the world gets to live in.

But governments will never fix education on their own. Not because they don't care, but because it isn't really their job. Their primary task is to keep a country intact, safe, and running. Basic education fits that goal. Quality education doesn't always.

So if we wait for the system to change, we wait forever. We are not interested in waiting.

There is a second thing we are certain about, from watching people learn, fail, improve, and eventually figure things out: people don't learn by watching. They learn by doing. Not by consuming a 40 hour course. Not by collecting certificates. By actually building something, by sitting with a problem long enough to solve it, by having the experience of "I did this myself."

That gap is what Shattak is trying to close.

What you can learn here

Shattak brings courses on almost any subject or skill into one place.

On the professional side, that means technology, programming, product management, marketing, and business. On the creative side, guitar, music, comedy, and other creative arts. We also cover academic and university subjects: physics, chemistry, mathematics, thermodynamics, engineering, humanities, political science, and many others taught in colleges and universities.

The catalogue keeps growing. The intention is to cover it all.

Learn first, pay later

Every course on Shattak is free to enroll in. You can start learning, finish the entire course, earn your certificate, and only then decide what to pay.

You can pay ₹0. You can pay ₹100. You can pay ₹1,000. It is completely up to you. There are no mandatory fees, no pressure, and no questions asked if you choose to pay nothing.

The only condition is that before enrolling in your next course, you settle up on the previous one. That amount can still be ₹0.

The thinking behind this is simple. People are more willing to pay after they receive value than before. Learning is hard work already. Whether you want a job, a new skill, a career change, or just a proper understanding of a subject, you are investing time, effort, and consistency. Money should not be the thing that stops you at the door.

So we remove the money barrier at the start, and we trust you at the end. If Shattak helped you learn something real, build a skill, get a job, or move your life forward, we think many of you will want to give something back. Not because you were forced to. Because you decided it was worth it.

Outcomes, not course completion

Every Shattak course is designed around a clear, measurable outcome.

Depending on the course, that outcome might be a real world project, passing an exam, a portfolio piece, or a specific skill you can demonstrate. Watching the lessons is not enough. You have to apply what you learned and complete the assignment or project attached to the course.

The certificate comes only after you complete that outcome. Finishing videos does not earn it.

How a course works

You browse the courses on the homepage, open one that interests you, read through the curriculum, and enroll.

After enrolling, you are taken to the course overview page and asked to join the course's WhatsApp mentorship group. The access code you need to unlock the course sits in that group's description. This is deliberate: we want you connected to the people learning alongside you and the mentor guiding the course before you start, not after you get stuck.

Courses are compact and structured. Most have around six or seven modules, each with roughly six to nine chapters, depending on the topic.

The assignment section stays locked while you are still working through the course. Once you complete the required content, it opens, along with bonus material, live session recordings, and extra resources. You do the assignment, submit it through the platform, fill in a short feedback form, and your certificate becomes available.

Then, and only then, you see the option to pay. You can do it right away or months later.

Learn first. Achieve the outcome. Get certified. Pay when you are ready.

Mentors

Students learn faster when they have access to people who have already done what they are trying to do.

Shattak brings experienced professionals onto the platform as mentors. Someone may qualify through five or more years of relevant professional experience, strong career growth at a reputable company, cracking competitive exams or difficult interviews, or proven success in freelancing and entrepreneurship. What matters is not the number of years but whether they have real world knowledge and results that can actually help a student.

Mentors support students through one on one mentorship, live classes, doubt solving sessions, and guidance inside the community, depending on what students need.

They also help build the courses. Instead of producing generic content, we work with people who know the subject in practice to define what students actually need to learn, the right sequence, the outcomes worth aiming for, and the projects that prove those outcomes.

Community

The community is a real part of how Shattak works, not a side feature.

Right now we run it on WhatsApp, because that is what students already use and it keeps things simple. Inside the groups, students ask questions, discuss careers and coursework, share resources and opportunities, help each other, and talk to mentors directly.

As we grow, we may move to Telegram or eventually build the community into the Shattak platform itself. For now, WhatsApp lets us build and manage it well without needing serious infrastructure or funding.

How we build courses today

Shattak currently follows a resource curation model.

A course combines written explanations and learning material, carefully chosen YouTube videos that already explain a topic well, practical assignments and projects, curated external resources, and mentor guidance.

We are open about this. Rather than re create explanations that already exist and are excellent, we find the best available resource for each topic and organize everything into a structured path. The point is not to hand you a playlist. The point is that you always know what to learn next, what to practice, what to build, and what outcome you are working toward.

As we grow and resources allow, we will produce more original video lectures, learning material, and interactive experiences. In this early stage, using strong existing resources lets us put our energy where it matters most: curriculum, mentorship, community, assignments, and whether students actually finish.

What we are building next

Shattak is meant to become a full learning ecosystem, not a course catalogue.

We are working on live learning sessions, one on one mentorship at scale, tuition and academic support, career and skill guidance, and tools that help students actually finish what they start. Courses will be updated continuously as industry requirements change, as students give feedback, and as subjects evolve.

The biggest problem in online education is not access. It is that people enroll and never finish. So we are building around the full arc: start, learn, practice, track progress, complete, achieve the goal. The platform tracks how you are progressing, spots where you are struggling, and puts support in front of you at that point.

We want Shattak to be a place where students don't just consume courses. They complete them, build skills, solve real problems, and make progress in their careers and their lives.
